Built With the Blind and Visually Impaired Community

At GoVivid, our mission is to help people who are blind or have low vision gain the independence and confidence to explore the world freely and live life on their own terms.

GO BIG. GO BOLD. GOVIVID.

How It All Began

GoVivid was born from a deeply personal promise, to create a world where blindness never equals limitation.

Our founder, Jennifer Hendrix, comes from a strong medical background in surgical interventions, where she spent years in the operating room witnessing how innovation can restore mobility, save lives, and reclaim futures.

That same belief in the power of technology to transform lives became personal when her grandmother lost her sight, and later, when both of her daughters were diagnosed with the same genetic disease.

What began as her family's story evolved into a movement to build intuitive, human-centered technology that restores freedom, confidence, and connection for the blind and visually impaired community.

Today, that promise lives through every innovation we design, every partnership we form, and every person we empower.

How the GoVivid Ecosystem is Built

We bridge the gap between awareness and autonomy through two core innovations:

GV Discover App

A lifestyle awareness app that helps users build confidence and understand their environment using sound and voice.

DirectMe® System

A patent-protected mobility platform that combines smart hardware and adaptive software to deliver real-time environmental feedback and spatial awareness.

Our design philosophy is simple:

Augment, don't replace.

We design intelligent systems that work with existing tools like the white cane, enhancing human perception through real-time data, sensory input, and adaptive feedback.

Diverse Expertise, Unified Mission

GoVivid brings together leaders in healthcare, technology, and accessibility that are united by one purpose: transforming independence for the blind and visually impaired.
