No! DirectMe is designed to enhance your white cane, not replace it. The system docks onto standard canes, preserving the tactile feedback you rely on while adding environmental intelligence.
GV Discover works immediately with minimal setup. DirectMe includes training as part of the system. We recommend users have completed age-appropriate O&M training or be currently enrolled in such training.
Upon FDA registration (coming in 2026), DirectMe will be eligible for insurance reimbursement. We'll assist with insurance verification and claims processing.
Our Early Adopter Program gives you the opportunity to be among the first to experience GoVivid's entire ecosystem. Participants receive early access to GV Discover App and exclusive updates on the DirectMe System before its official release. You'll also have the chance to share feedback that helps shape future features as well as enjoy special pricing.

GV Discover is a smartphone app providing basic environmental awareness. DirectMe adds specialized hardware (scanners, head tracker) for continuous obstacle detection, 3D audio, and navigation.
